Ryhill and Havercroft Cricket Club
Ground conditions at the Sports Centre have meant that for the past three seasons all games have been played away. The problems have now been rectified and the club is back home for the coming season.
The club is working with the Sports Centre and the Yorkshire Cricket Association to develop their game and encourage new blood to the sport.
Anyone interested in joining the club should leave details at the Sports Centre for the attention of John Lomas, the Team Development Officer.
Havercroft and Ryhill Bowling Club
The Bowls club is long established and still plays on its original green which was included in the planning design of the Sports Centre.
The Bowls team would like to encourage new members to the club, including junior and lady members, and are prepared to spend time coaching new players of all ages.
To assist in this process and until the 2002 season commences, the centre has dedicated Wednesday afternoons for indoor carpet bowls including a junior session between 4pm and 5pm. Bowls are available from the centre.

Ryhill Hammers Amateur Rugby League Club
The "Hammers" were formed in 1997 with the aim of bringing Amateur Rugby League back into the villages of Ryhill and Havercroft. The club competes in the Yorkshire League.
Currently the club fields one senior open age team made up largely of players who live locally, but they would like to form a Junior Section and plans are underway to do this with the Spring and summer being targeted for training and coaching sessions.
Last year the "Hammers" won their first piece of silverware when they won the Worthington 7's Sheffield Shield, hopefully the first of many such triumphs.

The Pigeon Club is now based at the Sports Centre and hopes that the change will encourage new fanciers to join the group. All members are willing to pass on their knowledge and experience to any young people who are interested in the sport.
